Tennis Training with World Champion Sepp Baumgartner

Sepp Baumgartner was born on March 30, 1953 in Teisendorf, Bavaria. He was an avid athlete as a child, and especially enjoyed soccer and skiing. At 16, he discovered his passion for tennis at a school tennis championship.

After high school he gained certification as a tennis and ski instructor. In 1980 he opened the tennis camp in Waging am See, abandoned his medical studies and turned his hobby into a career.

News of his good work and new ideas soon spread well beyond the German border. He developed a ball collection system that eliminates the time-consuming and annoying collection of balls by hand, and devised a treatment for the dreaded chronic tennis elbow.

The list of his athletic achievements is impressive.

Men's and senior tennis championships:

  • Two-time European Tennis Champion

  • Four-time German Tennis-Teacher Champion

  • International German Tennis Champion

  • International Austrian Tennis Champion

  • Six-time World Champion in the Ski-Tennis Combination

Sepp Baumgartner highly values his own skill enhancement and that of  his team.

He has the most advanced German and U.S. coaching licenses:

  • State-certified tennis instructor, VDT

  • Professional, USPTA
